Christine Troples is the founder of the Finding Wings Center for Healing. She is a remarkably intuitive healer with great sensitivity to the client's inner and outer states at all times, using a subtle touch which has garnered her a loyal following. Echoing what others have said in numerous testimonials, one client commented, "Christine is by far and away one of the most amazing healers I have ever met and I will be eternally grateful for all her help and kindness." While Christine already has multiple certifications from the Institute for Structural Integration which follows the work of Dr. Ida P. Rolf, and in Hellerwork Structural Integration, she continues to learn new modalities to bring to the support of her clients. She has studied visceral manipulation and the biomechanics of alignment with renowned teacher Liz Gaggini of the Rolf Institute and received advanced certification from Emmett Hutchins and Peter Melchior of the Guild for Structural Integration. Currently she is expanding her repertoire of therapeutic skills to include the Somatic Experiencing work of Peter Levine. Christine's "Aha!" moment: Christine vividly recalls the moment that set her on the path to becoming the healer that she is today. Home from a medical appointment for his ongoing back troubles, her father asked the then 12 year old Christine if she couldn't help him with a shoulder massage like he had gotten earlier that day. With a big sigh of relief, he spoke, as Christine puts it, the magic words: “Oh sweetheart, this feels even better than the doctor.” From then on she knew her life would be spent pursuing and refining her gift of healing hands. Christine's Journey to Finding Her Own Wings In 1998, Christine established her first office as a healer in a beautiful Victorian house in Sewickley PA where clients could find various services including hypnotherapy, massage and structural integration. Christine continued to improve her skill base by adding advanced certification in 1999 from the Institute for Structural Integration. In 2000, She established the Finding Wings Center for Healing and began looking for a new permanent home, a place where she could create her vision of a healing oasis with total client support. In 2001, two major turning points set Christine's feet firmly on her path to California and the eventual creation of her beautiful center located today in Arroyo Grande. First, she received two different advanced certifications during an extraordinary set of teachings on the magical island of Kauai, where she trained with Dr. Ida Rolf's first two original students - Emmett Hutchins and Peter Melchoir, the famous founders of the Guild for Structural Integration. With these two new advanced certifications from both The Rolf Institute and The Guild for Structural Integration, Christine reached a personal goal. achieving the superlative level of professional attainment and development to which she had aspired from the beginning of her training. The second major event came with the attacks and collapse of the World Trade Center on 9/11, prompting Christine to finally make the transition to working full time in her healing profession. She completed the revisioning of her new life and set her feet on the path towards paradise, relocating to California's Central Coast of California where she has been inspired and happy to set down her permanent roots.

While she went about her adult life as a flight attendant and voice actress, Christine would continue to help out friends with massages, counseling and guidance towards working with other healers. But this was not enough. She felt increasingly, even inescapably drawn to pursuing a path as a healer. Finally, she began exploring which modalities seemed right for her as a practitioner.
She benefited greatly from some early Rolfing work, as did her mother who had suffered from profound pain due to arthritis until a dramatic healing with renowned Rolfing practitioner Evelyn Lehner. Later, Christine discovered Hellerwork which, while based on the same general principles laid out by Dr. Ida Rolf, also includes contact, conversation and exercises – all of which appealed to Christine with its intimacy and emotional availability.
She soon committed to a course of study with the Hellerwork Institute, beginning in 1997 and graduating in May 1998, with far more practice hours than were actually necessary. Clients literally flooded her schedule with requests for her help. She had in essence already begun her practice and this huge word of mouth helped her to transition from a career as a flight attendant to one focusing on bodywork, though she still maintained flight hours for the next few years.
